Dear Family and Friends,
I am a frequent shopper at the Walmart where David worked. I did not know David personally, but I saw him often. I am stunned and saddened by the loss of a young man who seemed to be a hardworking and dedicated employee. Every time I saw David, he was paying attention to detail as he worked on the task at hand and whenever I asked for help, David stopped whatever project he was working on to escort me to the product I was unable to find. The last time I saw David I had no idea it would be the last time I would see him. I was struck by the warm and friendly “hi” that he greeted me with as I entered the store. I thought to myself “he is a very nice young man, always focused on his work.” I have been to Walmart since David’s passing, and while the store has been a hub of activity, it seems empty, I miss David. All of that said dear family and friends of David Starks, Jr.; my prayers are with you during this painful loss, blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted (Matt 5:4, NIV).
